WTA Finals 2026: The Eight Qualified Players, Dates and Format at Indian Wells
The WTA Finals 2026 run from 8 to 15 November at Indian Wells after moving from Riyadh. Rybakina, Sabalenka and six other players have qualified.

The eight best women of the season are confirmed for the WTA Finals 2026. The season-ending event runs from 8 to 15 November at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California, United States, with Stadium 2 as the main court.
WTA Finals 2026 Moves From Riyadh
This year's edition was originally scheduled to return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Organisers later moved it to Indian Wells because of safety concerns linked to the conflict in the Middle East.
The format stays the same. The eight players are split into two round-robin groups of four. The top two from each group reach the semi-finals, and the event then runs as a knockout through to the final.
The Eight Qualified Players
Here is the singles field with the titles each player has won in 2026:
- Elena Rybakina: Australian Open, Stuttgart, US Open
- Aryna Sabalenka: Brisbane, Indian Wells, Miami
- Mirra Andreeva: Adelaide, Linz, Roland Garros
- Jessica Pegula: Dubai, Charleston
- Coco Gauff: Cincinnati
- Elina Svitolina: Auckland, Rome
- Karolina Muchova: Doha, Bad Homburg
- Linda Noskova: Berlin, Wimbledon
Rybakina Arrives as a Strong Favourite
Rybakina is the defending champion after winning the WTA Finals in 2025. This season she has been outstanding, winning two Grand Slam titles and taking the world No.1 ranking from Sabalenka.
Sabalenka is a serious threat too. She won Indian Wells earlier this season, so the California desert courts suit her well. Andreeva and Noskova, who both won their first Grand Slam titles this year, could spring a surprise.
In doubles, pairs including Katerina Siniakova/Taylor Townsend and Gabriela Dabrowski/Luisa Stefani have already booked their places. The official schedule and groups are on the WTA website.
